94 Formula - Gone But Not Forgotten

Sold my 94 Formula 14 months ago. Never got around to looking for the 9-second pass it was capable of. “Aged out”, too old the crawl under it for maintenance. Fortunately, sold it to someone who had wanted it for years. Bigger solid roller cam, looser converter, back to the stock PCM + LTCC, and expert self-tuning by the new owner - 9.905 @ 133.3 on a 200-shot. Engine's set up for a 300-shot, looking forward to the next step yo.

That’s a nice setup. Really good out of the hole!

I really need to get my car back together. I think it’ll be capable of a low 11-second timeslip. Could do better, but I’m setting it up for road course, not drag.

Test & Tune session - New owner just keeps pushin' it harder and harder. Unfortunately only got in one pass….. no cage, only the roll bar. This was on a 250-shot.

Re: 94 Formula - Gone But Not Forgotten

yeah i gotta update some stuff, they were NOT happy with that pass 3 weeks back i ran the same exact tune and everything and clicked off a 6.17 at 114.4 in the eighth at night which was a new pb. next 2 passes were 9.92 and 9.93 at 138mph spinning thru the 60ft (1.48-1.56 60ft)

i simply changed the plugs from the autolite racing plugs (all advanced had) back to my trusty NGK b8efs, filled it with fuel and set tire pressure. i added 1 click of rear rebound to the shocks, compression was same, and it cracked that 9.64 at 139mph pass off off the trailer on a 2100da morning. it did not even FEEL that fast. yea it felt quick but it felt like a decent 9.90 rip, MAYBE a 9.85

when i got the slip i was speechless
