9.08 @159.70mph

I have been back out for awhile; quietly working on my car. Almost got that 8 second slip today but it just wasn't meant to be:

60ft 1.48
1/8 6.083
1/8 mph 121.59
1/4 9.08
1/4 mph 159.7

AS you can tell by the slip the car didn't hook. There had been an oil down in the lane we had to run in two passes before and the car really blew the tires off through first. Anyway maybe we can hook it up and get that elusive 8 second slip next time out. I think we might have gotten it this morning but the clock screwed up. That's life. BTW for those of you who don't know me here is a link some pics of my car

On Saturday in qualifying we had a rough day. first passs we broke the throttle and we had no spray so we went 10.1 on the motor. Second pass we still had problems with the throttle and the spray was going off and on and went 9.4 @ 144. The third pass of the day was still with intermittent nos activation problems and we ran 9.61 @ 136. So Saturday was a rough day. Saturday night we went back to the shop and fixed the car and dyno'd it. Everything seemed good so Sunday we went for it.

Sorry I don't street drive my car. I promised my wife I wouldn't do that any more.

Jason,

Thanks for the well wishes. Right now we aren't sure how quick it can go but we are hoping an low 8.80 or high 8.70 will light up on the board soon. The BBQ? The 23rd? I have a wedding that weekend and I don't think Lydia will let me out of it. Confirm the date with me and I will let you know.

Kevin,

Thanks the compliments. I tried to contact you at the number you left for me. I'll try your there again a little later.

Thanks

Vince

P.S. Not bad for a little old 383 LT1 motor eh??

Hey vince, looks like you exceeded your bandwidth. I'd like some details on your setup if you don't mind, perhaps trade some tips. I've got a billet bottom end LTx going into a 96 t/a ready for some low 9's. Shoot me an email if interested

Sure, a little exchange of idea's always can help. Why don't you drop me a line at vincemc@ils.net. I'm not quite sure what exceeding my bandwidth means but I will asume its a positive thing. lol.

Big Rick,

Yep I'm back from the dead once again. I guess I am just hard to kill . 6.03 in the 1/8th?? Whew man you are flying! We went a 5,909 in the 1/8 a few weeks ago but we haven't been able to hook the car that hard since. I hope you get there before me? See now I have no presure its all on you. Best of luck.

Vince

Madman (Brian),

How have you been? The car is running really hard on the top end. Just have to get the bottom half of the track sorted out. It will come; it just takes more work. Right? The big mph after 1/8th is normal for this combo. Must be the TH400 trans. Anyway it seems to be working. Its 36 square pilled now so there is still a little room to move. What is Thunder??????
