680 miles of haulin a$$

To make a long story short i bought fiberglass hood from vfn which is in chicago. left at 7 on wed. morning with no hood on my car then went to gateway with the new lighter fiberglass hood to race my car.

Right off the 680 mile trip i ran a 11.91 @114.33 internally stock with a 1.71 60 on nitto 555r 245/50-16

Oops i forgot to let the pressure out. Those tires had 37 psi in then on that run and it was 58 degrees out. let the pressure down to 26 psi and ran a new best of 11.899 @114.44 with a 1.686 60

only mods are bolt-ons, 3.73,2800 stall and a finally race weight of 3380lbs with drive(me)

car got 23 mpg up to chicago.........not bad for a daily driver with 128,500 miles

next mods to come are heads & cam :headbang:

The guy running the camera reminds me of my dad filming, he never zooms.

Good passes!

It is a cheap camera and doesn't have zoom, sorry bud. the whole point of the trip was so that i can say "my car just got off the interstate and ran with your trailer queen"

Not trying to be a dick or anything but who really has the true street car here?

On the last race with the 70 camaro the guy asked me if i were running nitrous. Nope. His car was loud, I couldn't even here my car and i thought it was loud.

I think the record is 10.8xx. it was an auto with 4.10, 4000 stall, and a race weight of around 2900lbs.

the ls1;s that were there that night all had heads, cam, and were running 11.5-11.8

when i get the heads and cam for my car i should be low 11's

My car is still a street car, I just drove it tonight, in the rain, to the shop where I'm putting tubular A-arms and coil-overs on it.
