60' times, I need some tips..

I finished my project since last year, (cam, headers, etc)
anyways, with stock manifolds, clutch, and cam, I ran a 13.8@98mph with a 60' 2.2....OK I run earlier this month for the first time in about a year, my first fun was like a 14.353@103 w/ 60' of 2.851, I missed 3rd my second run and just coasted to the finish line, and then my 3rd and final run I ran a 14.211@104 w/60' of 2.723...my car is definantly a mid to low 13 second car on street tires now, ?? I can't seem to launch right, I launched the first run at 2500rpms, then the second good run of the night at 2000rpms, I keep spinning now all the way through the hole...I don't ride the clutch, I try to feather with the gas, but traction just doesn't seem to be there...I ran my tire pressure at 28psi in the rear (BFG comp TA 275/45/17)
that didn't seem to help...should I lower the tire psi even more?
my tires are fairly new BTW. Just need some tips for my next outting coming up here this weekend at Beech Bend...

Thumbs up

Drag radials or slicks first and foremost. Then you should go from there. The tire is the most important element though.

Definitly get a sticky tire like a slick or drag radial. With a good launch you shuold be in the low 13s.

From: Where people don't discriminate about your induction system.
Lowering pressure in a regular street radial won't help you at all.
If you were running a DR I'd start with 18 psi, but with those I'd just stay at 38 or so.
