60 foot times and ET
60 foot times and ET
Using this chart as a guideline, I calculate that a 1.927 60' time should translate to an ET of 14.0 seconds. This is not, of course and exact science, at least not as far as I know. Regardless, if we accept that it's true in at least relative terms, then would a taller or shorter tire be more likely to bring the ET into line with the 60'.
And Please excuse what might seem like an elementary question.
The last time I got into the drag scene I was just a copycat without knowing why I was copying something. I want to put a bit more science into it this time around.

Re: 60 foot times and ET
The 60 foot is only relevent for judging ETs when the HP and weight of the car is known. Example I ran a 12.23 @ 115 on a 2.1 60. Lots of power no tire. I also ran a 11.43 @ 119+ on a 1.59 60' same exact setup with sticky tires. There's no correlation because of lack of traction.
