Exclamation 1st time on drag slicks

I've been to the track a few times on my street tires and i obviously drive around the water pit. I will be using my buddies drag slicks for the first time on the 3rd. What is the proper way to set myself up for the run? I mean I've seen it on TV but its way different doing it yourself. Any help is appreciated.

Re: 1st time on drag slicks

If you're still running the normal street front tires keep driving around the water. Drive around and back in. Most lane managers will get the idea if you start backing up and will direct you into the right spot.
Don't be a sissy about warming them up or you'll just be disappoimted in the results. I get my ET streets smoking good them release the line lock spinning out of the box for about 10-15'. Easing off of the gas and staging right up.
You'll have to experiment on what will be the best launch RPMs for your combo.

good luck and let us know how it went.
