13.5 with Full Exhaust...

Ok look at my Sig for Details on the car...

Thing that concerns me is why the car is so slow with the full set of exhaust? I haven't run it with the Cutout but it did have an improvement on the street.

The car has 2.73's too. I was thinking that was why. I didn't try raising the RPM's off the line (Locking the stock converter or whatever) but am prolly gonna give it a shot next time... I did get a pretty high Trap speed however.. 3mph higher then my buddies who ran 13.5 with a lid and a MAF sensor but he has 3.23's... but still

whats wrong?!

You've got headers and still only ran 13.5 @ 105?

See my sig for a pretty much stock run, 2.73's, only thing I had was the Hypertech!

That does seem slow, but what's your elevation?

I see you're from Chicago...if you got those times this weekend your car will likely go 13.1 @109 or so...the weather sucked. I was at Byron on Sunday and I was 4 tenths and 4-5 mph slow all day, and so was everyone else I talked to.

It was hot, somewhat humid and if racing at Byron or US41 there was a pretty good headwind.

It was from a few days back but most my friends did bad that day anyway.

I don't know my elevation lol... near Lake Michigan I'd imagine near sea level..

When I was getting my waterpump changed yesterday the owner of the place who knows a lot about LS1s and LT1s said that some people will lose low-end torque with the installation of a cat-back and headers in some situations. He said an effective exhaust mod to do is to put a y-pipe in , remove the cats, and leave everything behind it alone. I'm sure this guy knows what he's talking about.

Maybe this is why your car is slower than average with your mods. After all, I got a 13.5@105 with a 2.2 60' on street tires and just easing it out of the hole.

kinda makes you wonder then doesnt it :P i dont see how a STOCK LS1 can run 13.5 or slower unless they have the AC on or are at a high altitude no way a modded one should be runnin that slow
