1/8 mile times???

i went to the track this past summer, i have an A4 1993 Z28, its completely stock i ran a best in overdrive (60 ft - 2.21, 1/8- 9.7, at 72 mph) i dont think this is very good, is something wrong with it???

im still stock and im fixing to install - Lingenfelter SuperTube Cai, Mac Pulleys, Mac 1 5/8 truefit Jet-hot coated mid length headers to a mac y=pipe, hooker catback exhaust

what should my times be???

thats pretty bad. thats somwhere inthe low 15s 1/4.

my 96 auto with 2.73s in OD (which is the best way to run BTW) went 8.8 @ 81 bone stock which was a 13.62 @ 102 in the 1/4.

my 60s running those times were 2.0s all day. are you spinning? how many miles does your car have ?

sure its not a V6? j/k

Wink

If you want to see some serious improvements, spend your money on a stall (2800 Vig) and then later on some gears. Ohhhhhhhh you'll be a happy camper then. I love mine!!

You can do a fairly decent approximation of 1/4-mile equivalents by multiplying ET by 1.555 and MPH by 1.25. That would convert your performance to about 15.1@90mph. If you are at sea level, that is well below the numbers you should expect on a completely stock and healthy LT1... say ET in the range of 13.9-14.3 and 96-100mph.

But if you are in Denver, those are not bad numbers. What altitude did you run at. If you are at sea level, I'd do a complete check on the condition of the engine, including a complete ECM scan, compression check, leakdown test, etc. before putting any sort of mod's into it.
