1/8 mile times

I'm going to the track for my first time this weekend. What kind of time should I exspect in the 1/8 mile with my current mods? My friend was saying that I will get in the 11's. I know my car is faster than that. 11's seems slow. I made a bet with him. Somebody please help.

Your friend is thinking 1/4 mile track. I have some friends that run high 11's that run high 7's in the 1/8th.

imo, low 8's to high 7's, but let us know what you ran when you get back!

What kind of tires you got on the rear? If they're street tires, then your 60' time will most likely be above 2.0 secs. If you've got some nitto's or bfg drag radials, your 60' should be around a 1.7-1.8. But that's just what my guesstimate would be!!

My guess is low 8's if you hook up.

I will have victor racer tires on the rear. They are simi raceing tires. They get pretty sticky. Oh yea my friend was difinitely talking about the 1/8 mile. That's the only track they have in Arkansas. I went with him last weekend to watch him race. He has a V6 camaro and was running low 13's. He swore up and down I would only get in the 11's. We had a big arguement over it.

My 1/8 mile time was 8.7 seconds (@ 83 mph) on the run where I hit 13.4 @ 106 in the 1/4 mile. You've got more mods than my car, and with better traction, I would expect something in the lower 8's (for the 1/8 mile) and probably ~mid 12's in the 1/4 (guessing a little!).

If you don't run 8's in the 1/8th let me drive b/c you are definately doing something wrong My stock LT1 T/A ran 8.90's in the 1/8th a couple years back nd now runs 7.80's N/A and 7.20's on the gas . Good luck and with some ET streets and practice you should be able to get 7.90's out of that thing.
