z28 pcm and v6 pcm....? same?

I have an opprotunity to grab a PCM out of a V6 car for cheap. I have a Z28, and I was wondering if I take tunercat and reprogram this PCM, will it work in the Z or is something different internally in the v6 pcm.

I saw that it looked as if there were only 3 sets of wires feeding a v6 pcm before, but it was in a junk yard, so I wasn't sure is something else was missing besides the PCM or not. (PCM was gone and 3 wiring connectors for the PCM was there, no 4'th one.)

And please, before someone makes a wise crack about this post, save your fingers some keystrokes and go elsewhere.

Thanks yall,

David Moss

The 2 PCMs are entirely different. You cannot use a V6 PCM on a V8 engine.
