wont idle when cold

Here's my problem : When I go start my car when it's cold ( sat over night) it won't stay idling until it warms up. If I let off the gas pedal it dies. Once it warms up a bit it idles fine. How can I fix this.

Do you have, or have a friend that has, a way to scan the car and log what is going on while this is happening? Who did the tune on it? Has it always done this since being tuned (assuming it is "other than stock").

Any mods done or work done that coincides with this problem's beginning.

Open loop (when cold) generally functions pretty well assuming an aftermarket tune didn't whack out the open loop tables.

It's got a 224/236 cam and 57# high imp injectors. Yea I have datamaster and tunercat. I got the program from a guy on this forum that was using the same cam and similar injectors. The program is very good, I've been running it with a wideband. The only problem is when its cold it won't stay running unless I open the throttle maybe a 1/4 or an inch if that. It's almost like my iac is'nt set right or something.

Well, using Datamaster log a cold start and see what the IAC is. For a while mine was pegged at 160 (damn, been a while, pretty sure 160 is the pegged high value) and the idle was bad. Of course once it warmed up the iac dropped and the idle smoothed. To fix this I used the TB set screw to open the blades slightly so that it had adjustment range even on a totally cold start.

Best first guess??
