My scanner port is not working. I want to run new wires from the computer to it. I need help lol

Pleas someone tell me what wire go from the computer to the port and in what spot they go.
I tried looking at several diagrams but just keep getting confused!

You mean the ALDL port? I can look it up for you, but I'm at work. I have the factory manuals, so if someone doesn't help you until then I'll check.

I really wanted to get this done by this weekend so i could put her on a dyno and check my tune, anyone that know are can find out id really appreciate your help.

 

Did you check the fuse for the cigarette lighter? That's where the ALDL connector picks up 12V power.

 

Tnx for the sugestion, but think i got my wires screwed up when i ran them to the ALDL ODBII port.

every thing is working now, i has the purple wire routed wrong

Oh and BTW on alot of scamtics it says the purple wire (serial dataII) is only used in 96 cars, welp mine is a 97 and needed it. So i dont know if that mean made in 96 or if its wrong

 

...all you need is a factory service manual...
