Will a caprice OBD1 from a 94 work on my Z?

I bought a junkyard OBD1 out of a cpraice to do an OBD1 swap in my 96. Im having problems getting tunercats to connect. It keeps giving me a Incorrect message sent Error. Any suggestions?

It should work fine, but you will need to modify it to accept your OBD2 knock sensor or swap your knock sensor with an OBD1 one for it to work.
As for your connection issue, that is not computer related. It could be your laptop, program, cable, connection, bad ground, etc.
