The simple add-on box for RPM capture to the LM1 is $100. The AuxBox is $250 but allows more extensive logging.

If my A/C input spreadsheet works, it's $0

Very true. That would cut a lot of money out of logging a/f with a wideband setup. Would all I need would be the wideband O2 and the cable to take it to the A/C pressure switch, or do you need the converter box too and then take that to the pressure switch?

Would this work?

I was just thinking too. I bet you could have someone on here take that AC pressure signal, input your equation (patch), and make it log like that in the actual program. I think his name is Matchstick or something.

My LM1 came with a pigtail to make your own wiring harness. It already does two analog outputs that are totally configurable for 0-5 volts. One output I use to emulate the stock O2 sensor (0-1V) and the other one I configure 0-5 volts for a certain AFR range. So the basic LM1 kit comes with everything you need. You do have to solder a couple lengths of wire onto the included pigtail to suit your needs.

Of course you also need good datalogging software but if you're serious about tuning you'll already have this

Hopefully I hear back from some people on my spreadsheet. I'm hoping it's effective!

Edit: that LC-1 you list should be all you need if my little tool works as hoped

That guy's name is StickMaster and he posted in your other thread. If you get it to work, he can patch FreeScan.

He has my spreadsheet! The only thing that'll be missing if he does that is the ability to change the resolution. That might be a concern. If the numbers are hardcoded into Freescan you'll have to configure your wideband output exactly to spec. With my spreadsheet you can input your AFR and voltage range.

I need some real testing work put into this whole idea. It should all work great in theory but we don't know until the experiments are complete.

Well, for us fbody guys, we don't want to see anything below 11:1 or above 15:1, so why can't you make the range that small and that should make the resolution a little smaller? Would it be hard to configure the wideband on 0-5V to cover this range? Maybe this is not a good idea, but I understand what you're talking about.

That's exactly what I'm doing in the spreadsheet. If he wants to add a specific range into Freescan that'd be fine just so long as the person knows to configure their wideband accordingly. That would suck for those guys who don't have a programmable output though. I also don't know what kind of resolution is truly necessary. Maybe it's a big help, maybe not. I just don't have any testing time put into this thing. That's why I offered it up to anybody who wants to try... who knows when I'll have the time again
