as the subject says also what does it do exactly.

 

I am not 100% sure (more like 90% sure) about this but someone will probably jump in and let you know if I am wrong.

I believe it will not work on a 93 car because the 93 cars have a different computer that utilizes a "Chip" and the 94-95 cars uses PCM Obd1 "computer" and the 96-97 cars utilizes a OBd2 PCM. Its different set up then the 93.

Also the Scanmaster would let you see many different features like o2 sensors, egrs, knock....etc, if you have a 94-95 car it will also let you see your "DTC codes" or SES trouble codes.
