What's Better LT1 Edit Or Madz28?

Just wondering which is better? To get LT1 edit or Madz28 to do the chip. Any pro's or con's between the two?

Thanks

If you've got the money and you plan on doing alot of mods, I would say LT1 edit. If I'm not mistaken, that's what Ion uses. If you get it, it reads your VIN and you can only use it on your car. You can pay alot more money to use it on more than one car though.

I would say it depends on how familiar you feel like getting with your computer programming. If you simply purchase a obd connector cable and the programming by email option from madz28 you get free updates for life. BTW I have heard nothing but good things about the programming from madz28, and am planning on getting mine done there in the future.

As inexpensive and as good as his tunes are, it's really hard to beat Ion unless you want to milk that last bit of power out of the car. LT1edit is nice to have if you understand tuning, but it's not something that you can just go in and change a few settings and make big gains. You really have to understand how the ECM works and how the engine works. Plus, you really need access to a dyno with a wideband O2 sensor to get everything dialed in just right.

Personally, I know how to do the tuning (had LT1edit on my 95) and understand all those things, but it was easier/cheaper just to have Ion do a tune for me.

An expert tuning a car on a dyno with LT1 Edit software can always get closer than even the smartest person doing a mail order tune, because there are aspects of it that they may have to guess on, or make their closest educated guess. All cars react and behave differently, so tuning on the dyno is always the best way to do it if possible.

The two are different animals. LT1 Edit does absolutely nothing without YOU making some changes and you knowing what you are doing. With Madz28, you don't have to know anything about programming the PCM because what you are paying for is his expertise. With LT1 Edit you pay for the ability to change the PCM like MadZ28 does but that won't give you the knowledge to change it like he would
