What's with Accel?

Accel is really pissing me off. I go and plop down nearly $2000 bucks for a DFI system, and a week later I'm told that they can't sell me the system because I'm not a qualified installer . I thought these things were supposed to be DIY (not saying that I couldn't benefit from having someone tune it, but I'd kinda like to learn how to do it myself). So, since Accel won't sell me the system I want, where do I go to get one with no questions asked? And if I can't get one, is the FAST system just as nice?

Thanks guys.

I guess he's going to be my only option if I want an Accel unit since no one around here will sell me one unless they install it. What a load. Oh well, at least my competition rotating assembly is back on order. Time to start on the block and get some turbo headers made.

There's plenty of places to get one outright and probally cheaper. Do a search on EbAY for DFI. Thats where I got mine. Unless Accel is doing something different now.

I was talking to the guy who is building my engine, and he told me he just became an EMIC so he can now install all the major stand alone systems. He's going to help me out with the system since he's been wanting to build a stroked/turbod 4th gen for some time now. I just dropped off the heads and intake yesterday for him to get started on, and we finally figured out which rotating assembly to order, so the order should go out today (hopefully).
