Welding on car... PCM precautions?

Welding on car... PCM precautions?

I'm getting 17x11's for the rear of my 4th gen, and I plan on relocating the bump stops. This will involve welding on the frame of the car. Do I need to take any precautions with the PCM?

Ive heard people say unplug the neg. bat terminal from the bat before welding...
