VE master question
Re: VE master question
YES.. only way it will do any good. VE tables are not used in MAF mode so VEMaster will be looking at the BLM results from the PCM MAF fueling and then it will apply the MAF calibrations to the the VE tables (that you are not using).
Re: VE master question
Re-read my post and it may not be to clear.. -1 reset PCM to clear any old LT BLM information from MAF mode running. (note if you load SD mode tune step 2 it will also reset the PCM) 2- Activate SD mode and do some running to get the SD mode LT BLM's established. 3- Then run VEMaster against the SD Mode data and it will update the VE tables in the tune. 4- Do some more running with new tune and rerun VEMaster to fine tune any discrepancy. Repeat running and rerunning VEMaster till you are happy with results.
Re: VE master question
Correct, VE tables will not be used unless you have a MAS failure. And new LT BLM's will be calculated based on running in MAF mode. I assume you are only tuning the VE tables for backup, or do you plan to switch back a forth for specific driving (track) reasons ? Some people like SD (serious major mods sometimes require it) over MAF mode, I tried SD and saw no significant difference so I am sticking with MAF as it seems more precise as long as all the sensors are working correctly. Also to me it's easier to tune the MAF tables and individual cylinder trim tables to get things running correctly.

Hi, I am tuning now to get them close and then will adjust later. I am going to use the MAF. I thought it would be easier, There is a lot of stuff to adjust. I am learning as I go along. Ray
