Using generic LT1 Edit tunes with Tuner CATS

Here's the deal, I did a Hotcam swap in my 95Z28/M6 I'm trying to keep costs low and was wondering if I could use a generic OBDI Hotcam/M6 tune from Brent Frankers page here: http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/LT1Edit/LT1files.htm

I typically just load mail orders from Madwolf and have only scratched the surface with Tuner CATS. Are the bin files going to contain the same data or to I need Tuner CAT .bin files specifically?

Thanks.

Since Tunercat can also open .lt1 [LT1_edit] files, I would assume there would be no compatibility issues. I don't know this from experience, though.

I've never run into any problems - as you say it will open both file extensions but it will only save as .bin. So if for some reason you wanted to turn it back into an LT1 Edit file you would need to run tuneconv.exe on it.

After speaking with Madwolf he says they should work fine, however the quality of the older tunes are questionable. I'm just going to have Ion build me a tune, it's only $75...
