Using A/C pressure PCM pin for wideband O2
Using A/C pressure PCM pin for wideband O2
I already know that it can be done to allow you to log through the PCM, but will this in any way effect the operation of the A/C? My car is not currently running, otherwise I'd test myself and find out. I'd like to know if there is anything that would need to be enabled/disabled to make sure the A/C continues to run properly with the wideband O2 signal in it's place. Or if the A/C will run properly at all.
Also, does anyone have the forumla for converting the A/C pressure data to AFR? I've done a few searches, but haven't found anything.

If I understand correctly, the a/c wont function. Since you are taking away the signal for the pressure side which enables the compressor. We did a thread on this about a month ago. I couldnt find it in a search either. It discussed how you read the a/c as afr.
That's what I was worried about. I still want the A/C in my car to function. Perhaps I can find another PCM pin to use rather than the A/C pressure one. Thanks for the info though.
A good point, I didn't think about that at the time. Perhaps I'll wire it up so I can switch back and forth between the O2 and A/C in the car. Shouldn't take too much, just a few wires and a toggle switch.
