anyone have any luck with cats and datamaster for a obdi lt1 car with windows vista?

 

I've never had much luck using a usb to serial adapter with any version of windows. Have you tried a staight usb cable instead of serial?

 

never knew they made a usb to aldl for the lt1 cars.

 

If you're asking about using a USB to Serial converter, I can tell you that my Keyspan 19-HS works pretty well, although I am running it on XP. They used to have device driver problems that would crash the computer from time to time, but in more recent versions of the drivers, these issues appear to have been fixed.

 

I have one from B&B electronics I use for work from time to time. Never used it with the car but it works fine for the work stuff. I too am using it with XP.

 

VISTA does have issues. Hopefully it will work soon.

Thats the exact thing used with the AKM cable. I already have it. I am looking to see if VISTA will stop this stuff from working.
