Ok so i have a dell and the only thing i can use with the diagnostics cable is a usb port. This was discussed before but the only thing i really got out of it was that it was a hit or miss for people. Does anyone know of the exact cable that i can buy for my dell that will work on my car. I'd like to be able to scan the car since that was the sole purpose of me buying this computer..lol. Thx a lot, appreciate it.

 

Go to AKMcables.com. Andrew can send you everything you need. He sent me a Belkin USB/Serial Port adapter that works well with my Sony laptop.

 

i have a belkin i want to sell becuase i dont nned it no more. it works fine and ive never lost a pcm. 70 +shipping.

 

The adapter you need is the Belkin_USB to Serial Adapter__F5U103. AKM sells them and like Rammerman says. they work well. I bought mine off E-bay for $13.00.

keyspan is much faster than belkin, worth the extra piece of mind to me. I got one one ebay for $34.
