Unexpected datalogs when at WOT?
Unexpected datalogs when at WOT?
I am I bit of a newbie to using Tunercat and wondering if I have messed up something. I have be adjusting the Power Enrichment tables and the MAF tables to remove fuel when at WOT as the wideband O2 logs have been around 10.5 and richer.
The adjustments I have made are improving this situation but I cannot fathom why the Autotap logs I am recording show the Target Air/Fuel ratio staying at 14.7 from .5 to 1.5 seconds after going to 100% throttle. It then shows 12.2 for the remaining time at WOT, in fact it stays at 12.2 for 20 plus seconds after the throttle is lifted and driving in a cruise. The wideband 02 logs also confirms the A/F is staying at 12.2.
The car is 96 LT1 (OBD2) with a Vortech SC. I have been trying to resolve this for the past two weeks, if anybody has any ideas I would appreciate the input. I could email an Excel log if that helped. Thanks.

Re: Unexpected datalogs when at WOT?
Anyone?
Am I experiencing a problem or is does the ECMs Power Enrichment mode have a delay?
It seems unlikely that PE is designed to do this, it makes tuning a real pain when the A/F jumps from 14.7 to 12.3 halfway through 2nd gear!

Re: Unexpected datalogs when at WOT?
All I can tell you is that with OBDI there is no delay. It's pretty much instantaneous when you mash the throttle. I scan with Datamaster. I wouldn't expect any difference with OBDII but I've never used it. I don't know how much that will help you.
Re: Unexpected datalogs when at WOT?
Thanks Jon, does it also drop out of PE instant you get off the throttle?
I suspect OBD2 should behave in the same way although if anyone knows I am keen to hear. I am reasonably sure I have a problem, all I need to do know is work out the cause.
I think I need to go back and re-flash the car with the stock tune and see if PE mode behaves.
