Tuning for a stock engine
Re: Tuning for a stock engine
Are you set up for DIY tuning (laptop, s/w and ALDL cable) ? Here is a site that can help, http://www.lt1pcmtuning.com/ click on "Free Tips" You will need a data logging s/w to see how your engine is currently performing (AFR, knock, etc) then look at timing, and fueling tips. If you click on the "Get Tuned" tab you can see that you can get an e-mail'ed OBD1 power tune for about $70.00 if you have a laptop and cable. So you have a choice, depending on how much you want to do, either DIY on your own or purchase. I have done both, purchased a power tune that set up timing, fueling and shift points for my mods and then tweaked other less complex settings to customize it for my driving preferences.
