I am using the SLP shorties and they said they were probably too restrictive. I am also thinking of another cam. Anyone have any recommendations? Every road seems like a dead end with this POS.
The ccam 503 is a little small for your engine back. you would have been better off with a cc306. I just think u needa bigger CAM I personally feel a cc306 is too small for a 383. My 383 has a duration @.50 of 260/260

Question

I'm gonna suggest an XE 230/236 or XE 236/242 cam, along with long tubes and a bigger stall. What do you guys think?

Yep. Either one of those cams, the longtubes, and looser converter.
Cam and longtubes and you'll probably be right around 400rwhp, if not more.
