As much as I like TC's work and way of doing things, I've heard the exact same estimate a year ago..... Had to buy the software elsewhere....

I emailed them for more details too, they said 30-45 days! I am going to buy it ASAP whenever they say it is available.

I think they have some sorta automated response system set up for that questoin b/c as Ion said youd get the same info a year ago... I sure hope they really do this time so I can go back to OBD2.

Pretty good automated response then since he/she addressed it to me. I suppose it could be their generic response though, sure hope not!

An OBDI cable with an OBDII connector will not work. You will need to buy their cable either way.

That was sometime ago, and I can assure you that TC is in the works. I am beta testing their OBD2 stuff now for the LS1 cars and trucks. The OBD2 LT1 stuff is a ways off because of less demand, he is concentrating on what is going to sell and that for now is the LS1 stuff. I also have his OBD2 vortec truck stuff as well which no one is doing. So be patient its on its way

The day OBDII TunerCat comes out for LT1s, hell will freeze over, I will win the lottery, and **** won't stink.

Re: TunerCATS for OBD2 soon!

Well... finally i can say that TC obd2 will be out pretty soon... there are a lot of stuff that has been going on.. i've been doing some helping with calibration info and beta testing... the program is cool... its a lot more organized than the obdi tuner and is much much more powerful.. adding obd2 cars should be very easy for them...

I've been beta testing for more than a year now trying to sort out bugs.. and boy oh boy have we gone a long way... TC guy is a genius really... Sadly he is not full time on it or it would have been out a long time ago...

Reads are in the vecinity of 3mins 45 secs and writes are 50-60secs...

They have the option to vin write and do full OS code upgrade (if you have a different OS ID than the file, it will flash the complete OS)... so that on Other tuners pricing is $3k MINIMUM and it will not be vin locked...

This is by far the most affordable, unrestricted, obd2 tuner out there...

Efilive is also coming out with their flashscan which is very very neat and very nice tuner option that has a scanner...

Affordability/value=Tunercat as always and they give you a full TOOL.. which you can develop calibrations if you have the info and if you send him the bin he can add support to the flasher in a matter of secs... No one has ever been able to beat tunercat in this aspect... and the fact that he is a very UNSELFISH person makes it a must sponsor product to own....

In terms of neatness and a few more goodies .. .efilive will really blow you away also.. they are very good and it also has the scanner built in.. I am pretty sure it will be cheaper than hptuners and carputing and the workshop version is far more affordable than hpt and carp.. So there should be a few options available... The group from efilive is a very very knowledgeable group and have a strong software going on...

So i hope you all sponsor and buy TCs software as soon as it is out. for a scanner, always check efilive.
