Tunercat: Low octane tables

Does anyone know when are the low octane tables referenced and how do they work?

Man, I will give you a bump on this one.

I have searched for info on this with no result. I guess the next thing I can do is ask TC directly as they do not have a reference in their help section.

I'm not entirely sure, but I thought I read somewhere that Low Octane tables were only present in LS1's?

I always wondered about the same thing. LT1Edit has low octane numbers aswell for my Vette.

Since I don't believe our cars came with any octane measurement sensor my guess would be (and it is a pure guess) that the computer listens to your knock sensor. If the knock sensor goes off frequently in a set time interval then the low-octane flag is set for the time the car is left running. Maybe?

That as good of a guess as I could come up with.
