Trying to convery my 96 to E85
I have my 97 LT4 SS running E85 for about 13-14 months (16,000 miles) with no issues - so i decided to tune my 96...
the 1996 is a Z28 (not a ss) with the following mods: CAI, LT Headers, LT4 Knock Sensor, TB Bypass, !AC , !CATS and a PCM4LESS Tune
the MAF sensor took a dump, so i tuned it for speed density about 3 months ago (only deleted maf codes and sent speeddensity flag to on - nothing else)
i got a new MAF sensor (80mm, not 70) w/ the 5pin to 3pin harness all from SLP that is supposed to be plug and play on a 96 or 97 LT1/LT4 motor
i retuned to a non speed density tune - and noticed im running real rich
at idle, my MT2500 reports 12g/sec on the MAF sensor, LT Fuel Trims are -16/-16 and ST fuel trims are -3/-7 (this is the avg trims - not just cell 16) - and it set a SES code x2 (both banks rich)
back on speed density my LT fuel trims were -2/0 and my ST fuel trims were 1/-1 - this seems pretty dead on (this is the avg, not just cell 16)
anyone have any ideas, i wanna get this fixed before trying a E85 conversion
also, anyone have any E85 PE screen shots they care to share??
thanks

I just have my WOT vs Cool tables changed from 68-104 range to 15.6 then make my adjustments to tweak the AFR in the WOT vs RPM table. I am getting ready to adjust the whole RPM table to 10.5. Then again I have tweaked the MAF calibrations, VE tables, and injector constant set to 23.17 with my 30# SVO's. The injectors are hitting 85% DC at 4300 RPM and 100% at 5100, so it gets leaner in that range until the redline, also showing fluctuations in the RPM graph on DataMaster above that, so I am definitely in need of more fuel. I am still in Open Loop simply due to yet to have my O2 bung welded in at the y in the y-pipe, so it is in the pass side O2 location. My AFR via my LM1 shows 14.3-15.1 in open loop (gasoline AFR reading) so I am staying within about 4% of stoich so far.
Sounds to me that your problem is with the MAF not calibrated correctly giving you the rich condition. Swap in a stock MAF and see if that doesn't get your BLM's more where you want.

Adjust your maf frequency tables until its within range, or switch back to a stock maf. If the maf you put in is an lsx type maf... i seem to remember something about a resistor needing to be removed or something like that
.
How were your fuel trims looking with the speed density mode? Also why are you trying to tune a car using an MT2500 to try and tune a car? Use datamaster or whatever else that you can actually log with in order to locate specific problem areas to improve.
