Tried search and nothing, tried resurrected post and nothing....
Was searching and not really finding the answers I was looking for and I'm starting a new thread. I was doing some reading and research on TunerCat so I can log/tune my own car when at the track. I was originally looking at LT1edit but TunerCat seems to be cheaper and not vin locked. Anyway, the main question is this: other then the TunerCat software do I need the Pocket ROMulator or Pocket Programmer like they say when they send you to xtronics.com or just an cable from AKM? The car is a '95 OBDI with OBDII connector. Also does it matter if I purchase the Tuner or RT Tuner? What one do you guys prefer?
Confused on what's needed.

You just need the AKM cable. Then you can use TunerCat to modify the computer, and use either Freescan or Datamaster to log runs at the track. I use LT1-edit so I don't know anything about TunerCat, but I think you want Tuner not RT Tuner. It looks like RT Tuner is for real-time tuning if you have a rom-emulator, which is not available for your computer.

All you need is the AKM cable. Get the Tuner, not the RT unless your have a romulator then you can get the RT. Remeber to get the $EE.
