Exclamation HELP Emissions Problems

Here are the results

on the 25/25 test
HC ppm reading - 220, allowed 114
CO% reading .75 allowed .63
NO ppm reading 2606 allowed 796

on teh 50/15 test
HO ppm reading 176 allowed 117
NO ppm 2463 allowed 879

mods...3000 stall, longtubes with ture duals and high flow cats, 1.6 RR, PCMforLESS tune, Moroso intake, ,.039" compressed height head gaskets and removed EGR system and air pump

what could be causing my NO ppm to be so high?

I can load the "pass emissions" tune on the computer, but would it help?

i have to get this thing passed this week.

what do i need to do???

For the HC and CO you are running rich or you have a plug or wire problem. If you headers have an EGR fitting I suggest reconnecting the EGR to get past NO problems. EGR cools the combustion chamber down and thus prevents NOx gasses from forming. It is only activated between light cruising loads between 900 and 2200 RPM (25/25 & 15/50 tests) so it really does not cause any real power loss in the performance high MAP & RPM ranges. Deleting it makes the engine bay look better, reduces cooking the rear intake manifold RTV oil seal and keeps the inside of the intake manifold cleaner. But it results in failing emissions where a sniffer test is required. On the forums, everyone that suggests removing it is either from a state that does not do sniffer testing on OBD1's, has off road applications, or has an illegial way to get pass the test.

Check all that bobdec indicated. You should still pass even if EGR is not installed.
