Question Timing Question

At WOT, my timing fluctates between 32 and 35 degrees, with no knock retard. Is it normal for this fluctuation, or am I looking at and opti problem. My car lately has had a intermitent dropping idle problem. Thanks.

I know so far, that I have no missfires, and my IAC and TPS are adjusted and working perfectly. This is what really makes me think I might need my 4th opti in 2 years. The timing fluctates even more at idle. I dont know if this timing fluctuation is normal at all times.

And this change in timing doe not coincide with a change in RPM vs MAP table changes?

I havent changed anything in my programing since this started happening. The car didnt have these problems till 2 months after I programmed it with LT1 edit. My laptop battery died for good, so I have been using a Tech I to look at things. At idle maybe the timing fluctuation is due to the rpm fluctuation, but at WOT, the timing fluctates up and down through all rpms.

Well my symptoms include a jumpy, fluctuating idle, the car seems to pull half *** in the upper RPM's, and sometimes it wants to stall at lights. Ive also had a multiple or random misfire code although no actual misfires have been detected when datalogged.

I just had my opti replaced too. I dont want to put another one in.

Fuel problems can definently cause your syptoms. Other than than fuel or a bad MAF/IAT, I have no other simple ideas what would be the problem. Have you checked fuel pressure?
