timing

1-What would a nice timing cure look like at wot.
I no every car is diff for timing but just ie: would be nice from old files or what you like see.

2- Where should you start the timing for wot, 85kpa,90kpa,95kpa,100kpa full timing

3-ie: if you start wot timing at 85kpa say you have

4000 rpm/85kpa-39.0 timing in tuner cat do you make 90/95/100kpa timing the same or do you advance it

4- is it the higher the rpm the more timing you put in +1-2* or is it more.

With our TA I pretty much brought in full advance by 4000 rpm
and at 90kpa this way when we go full throttle on the trans brake we have max power, and helps stall a bit higher

i keep total timeing in at 95 kpa because sometimes wiht the weather in the summer you wont even see 100kpa

I have disabled the knock retard and keep a close eye on the knock count ( i'm still old school) this seems to produce the best results with OUR car. We ran a best of 11.14 @119.5 a couple of times so it s not a 1 shot wonder car.

Check out threadedtire sig for car detials

You may be seeing knock retard from lack of fuel. try increasing your VE tables by 10% between 90-100 KPA and then check your knock retard. If there is less KR, go to your PE tables and add more fuel in the areas you see the knock.

I currently run 41-40degrees of timing from 0-3600 RPMs then 39 degrees from 3600-4000 and 38 from 4000-6800 and 37 at 7000 RPMs with no knock retard. I also have 12.3:1 compression. I think your not giving you car enough fuel at WOT causing a lean condition casusing spark knock.

If i have 34* in closed tps can you carry that over to the wot tables 0-3000rpm and be safe or is this some thing to do on the dyno?
