Swapping a 96 Caprice LT1

Bought a 1994 LT1 shell and picked up a built 1996 caprice lt1 can I use my 1994 ecu and odb1 on it? It's a T56 car.

Yes. You will have to check the knock sensor(s). Your 94 PCM is looking for a single ~4,000 ohm knock sensor. I believe the Caprice has two knock sensors. I don't know the impedance, but I know the 96+ F-Bodies have a ~100,000 ohm sensor, and you can't use one of those. You have to use a 4,000 ohm sensor.

Fuel lines, accessories, water pump, etc. could all present issues. But the PCM should work fine with the above exception.
