More problems with F.A.S.T
More problems with F.A.S.T
The laptop isnt able to detect the ECU. It acts like it is going to connect but doesnt. The dash and all else works but we just cant get it to hook up and "talk" to the ECU. Any clues on what the deal is? The F.A.S.T has been taken out of the car and re-hooked up with battery and ground and it still isnt working. Throw anything out that might be the problem.
I dont even know what to think about this situation on top of all the other crap. I am not sure exactly what kind of computer the shop is using but he has it set up where he does LS1 edit and stuff like that on the same laptop so I assume its set up to use the FAST as well. I bought this from a guy here on the board and did a search and now I cant find who I bought it from and no longer have any of those emails so who knows. The guy that is installing all of the stuff has talked to FAST many times and they basicly say there is no tech support for stuff like this that whoever I got it from would be the one to provide that. Is there anywhere I can go to just get a "fresh" copy of the program? I dont know if maybe the one that was loaded into the thing orginally is messed up or what, but the person I bought it from said it was brand new and never used, which is the case. Any help, suggestions, anything would be greatly appreciated. Im at a loss on what to do.
Should the program say DEMO when im trying to actually use it to link to the car? It seems as though I dont have the full version for some reason, which is sh#t if thats the case for 1600 or so bucks.
One I don't think it should say DEMO on it.
Did you get it from Starz2000ss?
I saw your post in this thread
Is that the one you got it from??
Trying to help.

Z-OwNEr I am sorry to hear you are having such a bad experience. However i am willing to help you best that i can.
1. What part# ECU do you have?
2. What is the serial # of the ECU?
all this info can be found on back of the ECU on the I.D. tag.
3. What version of C-Com are you using? Windows or DOS?
4. It is important to find out what Operating System the tuner is using. Just because they have LS1 edit installed on the laptop and using it, doesnt mean it will work for C-Com software.
This is simply not a true statement. FAST has a tech line you could call (662)224-3495. Plus i hang out on the board a lot and i always try to help anyway i can. But we do try to encourage customers to buy from a certified FAST dealer in order to make the install/tuning experience a pleasurable one.
As far as DEMO that is the default program that C-Com is bundled with. When a connection is established the DEMO will no longer appear. I am confident that your problem lies in the COM settings of the laptop. But before we go any further i will need the above info to make sure we are not running in circles.
