Stuck in cell 16 128/128 at Idle or at any time TPS=0

so i finally got tired of my car runing rich as hell (12.1s on my wideband at idle) I noticed that i am stuck in cell 16 and my blms are at 128/128 and my 02s do not go up and down..just sit at .900s....It seems like they are locked or something?!~ i dont know...give it little gas and everything works great, o2s start to move and blms go to 127ish..let of the gas..and back to cell 16 128/128 and .900s on the o2.....WHAT IN THE WORLD?!

Cell 16 is the IDLE cell, and 128/128 is perfect. .900 on the o2s I dunno, but from what i can see.....
There is no problem.

Check out the PCM constants thread that is stickied above.

Is it doing this in closed loop as well or just in open?. When you give it gas do the o2's start cyceling like there supposed too or are they slow to react?.

it does it in closed loop..as soon as u touch the throtle they start clcying and the AFR goes to 14.7, off the throtle.....128/128 .900s no cycling aFR. 12.5 or so.

Hmm, sounds like your o2's are being a little lazy at idle. Have you tried new o2's or barrowing some that you knwo are good. Since tunes dont go bad and electronic parts do, i would try the simple stuff first like the o2's.

That's interesting. There was just another thread in LT1 tech with the same problem - rich at idle with BLM/INT sitting on 128. He got a new PCM but hasn't datalogged it yet, so we don't know for sure if that fixed it.

In your case since you presumably have a reprogrammed PCM I wonder if it's the program. It sounds like you've had the problem for a long time, so is it possible that it started when reprogrammed?

I've heard about "PE-mode idle", though I have no experience with it. Seems like that would explain the locked BLM/INTs.

I think the way PE-mode idle is accomplished is by setting the "TPS for WOT" to 0% at low rpm. You might check to see if that's the case in your program.

what is your MAP sensor reading at idle? (volts or kPa)
