Stock LT4 PCM settings vs LT1
Stock LT4 PCM settings vs LT1
As I have an LT4 not an LT1... I'm going over my stock LT1 tune.
So I am looking through the specs, and realized first that the Injectors are bigger 28 instead of 24...
also I know the cam is different was well,
where should i look to ensure changes are made appropriately to represent the engine ?

The LT4 did not use an EGR system. While the LT4 cam was "different", the specs with the LT4's 1.6X roller rockers were not much different than the LT1 cam with 1.5X rockers. Rev limit should be set higher.
The 93-95 LT1 uses a different knock sensor than the LT4 (and all other OBD-II LTx engines). Either your knock sensor had to be changed, or a resistor had to be added to the PCM.

what about the heads I know that is a pretty dramatic change for the LT4... would anything be changed because of it?
sorry just learning this software, and cant find much info on LT4(at least where PCM's are concerned)

I can tell you it runs more appropriately now... while it has never idled under 1200 before I changed that
and now it idles right around 875...
it used to idle at 1800 when it was cold and dropped to 1250 when it was warm...
So I'm pretty certain that adjusting the injectors was the right thing to do.
while I didnt take her out on the autobahn, keeping her under 40 she was pretty good in 5th gear... usually she didnt like being in gear under 1500 rpms...
I'll see how she pulls in 6th gear at 80... that'll be my major test, cause she couldn't maintain her speed going up a mild hill at 80... (2k rpms)
