Hey guys...I just purchased a 97 trans am convertible and on my way home i got pulled over. Turns out the speedometer is off. I got clocked doing 75 when the speedometer said 62. I checked out the tire size first and it checked out ok. The only other things i can think of are either the gears have been swapped out and the computer was never reprogramed or that the gauge assembly was transferred from a different car (possibly), but i would think that this would show up as an error in the computer and carfax says that this car has the correct miles. Any thoughts?? I will be taking it to the dealer sometime this week. Let me know what your thoughts are.....and ill keep ya posted
