Speedo calibration

I just swaped the 2.73's in my 95z for 3.42's my local chevy dealership wants $150 to get a vss to program it. Is there any way i can do it myself other than a hypertech programmer?.... or is there any way to get a vss other than from chevrolet? I was told by the tech to look online =) said i can prolly find one to get my speedo set right and maybe even remap my fuel/air %. Oh he told me my car had a 118 mph speed limeter ... Is there a way to do away with this too?
