Socketed PCM not working
Socketed PCM not working
I recently had my pcm socketed by a friend who does alot of work with chips. He said hes almost positive everything looked ok, but if I had a problem to tell him and he will check it out. But he is away untill jan 7th and would like to find out my problem before then.
I reprogrammed the chips what i belive to be correctly. I am pretty sure I used the correct bins, or at least the first side is correct.
I know, or at least think, that the first side is correct because when I connect my pcm, and try to read it using tunercat, the progress bar goes to the halfway then tells me that i dont have a responce from the pcm. If I take the pcm out and try, it dosnt move at all. Also if I swap the chips the progress bar goes nowhere as well. So from that I would think that the 2nd chip has the wrong program on it, or the socketing job on that side is bad.
Does anyone know what side is read from first and what side is read second?
Also if anyone has .bin files that i could try out it would be greatly appreciated if you emailed them to me.
Can a tunercat file just be simply split in half and then programmed to each chip like that, because it is the right size, or does it not work like that.
Thanks

Apparently the T chip is the first chip scanned/programmed, and the E is the 2nd, So either my socketing job is bad on the 2nd side, or the bin files i have dont match up, or the 2nd one is just bad. If anyone could send me the bin files I would greatly appreciate it.
