Which side is right bank?

OK guys, I've always thought that cylinders 2,4,6,8 were the right bank. Is that correct?

I am having good success tuning with the individual cylinder fuel trim tables, and seem to be seeing the opposite of what I expect (removing fuel from cylinder 2 makes the right bank richer).

Does anyone know for sure?

Yes that is the right bank. The way I understand it removing fuel from a cylinder will make that bank go richer because the o2 sees a lean condition.

But if that bank is already running rich (BLMs < 128), then shouldn't it run leaner once fuel is taken out?

I'm going to keep experimenting.

What's your BLM's reading? Also check to see if you have an exhaust leak, see this thread.

It varies, but the right bank is generally 3-5 steps lower than the left is: like L128 R123.

I have stock manifolds, but I'll still check for any leaks. Thanks for the thought.

What kind of reaction do you get in regards to ajusting your throttle blades i.e. opening and closing them. Do the BLM's get closer to 128?
