SES Codes After Header Installed
SES Codes After Header Installed
Yes...I know, what's the code? What's the code?
Okay, got the SES light this morning driving to work. Yes, it was raining..but with my luck...I wouldn't bet on something easy like water on the sensors.
So background..installled shorty headers 2 weeks ago. Anything specific to header install that would throw a code? Loose sensors, vacuum lines? I'm bringing it back to the shop that install the headers to scan it after work...but this has been bugging me all morning.
FYI...for those in California..Autozone won't scan codes for you....legally. It's against state law..go figure..sounds like state and dealerships are in kahoots.

Re: SES Codes After Header Installed
After a recent header install, the root cause of an SES light is a vacuum leak, but the SES code will state something about a lean condition exists. Or possible, an O2 sensor wire is shorted out or burned.
