Post service engine soon light after ran out of gas

Ran out of gas this morning heading home from work, completely forgot to refuel on the way home. My problem or question to anyone that can help is "how do i reset or what steps do i need to take to reset my service engine soon light. The car is running fine now after refueling. The service engine soon light remains on. I also have a HPP III program on the car, will this be an issue if this needs to be reset via the computer, An advance thank you for any responses

The hypertech unit can reset the codes. Or, unpluging the battery for a few minutes will do it (don't worry, nothing except flashing a new program will change your hypertech tune currently in the pcm).

For future reference

To reset that light; put the key in the ignition, turn it to accessory (towards you), then push in and hold the trip odometer button for 15 seconds then release it. That will reset your SES light. I've done it a couple times. Of course if something is actually wrong with you ride it's not going to work.
