I have a 99' Z28 with @36000 miles and the light came on today. I took it to Auto Zone and the code came back with "Air Port Circuit Malfunction"

I tried disconnecting the battery to reset it but the light still stayed on.

Does anyone know what this means or what I should try?

Did they mean Air Pump? Check the fuse in the Under hood fuse box. Next time try to get a code number instead of a definition.
