Lightbulb Sensor in washer reserve?

There's a plug/sensor looking thing in my 95z's windshield fluid, I was wondering if anyone knew what it was there for?

I would imagine that it is there to turn on an idiot light when your washer fluid is empty.

So would I...

But I dont see one available on the dash itself, and the manual does not list such a thing (just as I have no idiot light for low gas in my camaro.)

Only other thought was that it will disable the pump from going if there is no washer fluid? All I can think of.
