Post Anybody using USB/serial converter?

Well i'm running into the trouble with running Tunercat with my Compaq laptop. I don't have a serial port. Tunercat said i could use USB/serial but it was not a 100% change it works. They said they are going to test it soon. They told me about a cable that costs $100 and they will be testing it sometimes next week. Along with the USB/serial converter there is a new program of tunercat, to work with windows, but they are still testing it, so, since i have bad luck i don't realy want to try it.

My laptop doesn't have a serial port either.
Get a Belkin USB to Serial Adapter. I think the part number of the one I have is F5U103. Someone else here should be able to verify that. Or there was a thread in this forum and advanced tech about it a couple of months ago.
I've been using it for about a month on 3 different cars and haven't had 1 problem.
I've also got TunerCat's windows flash/read software and haven't had 1 problem with that either.
Get the Belkin adapter and the windows flash/read and you're set.
