SD to MAF Conversion

Im looking into converting my SD 93 bird over to an OBD1 MAF system. anyone here done this or know whats involved. the only issue i forsee is that the 94-95 f bodies have the 4l60e while i have the 4l60. will this cause an issue or is it just a matter of not pinning for the transmission? will it throw a trouble code causing me problems engine wise? im pretty sure all that is needed is the 94-95 ecm, maf sensor, and maf harness. please correct me if im wrong.i want to be able to use tunercat or the likes for a street turbo build and this route(via salvage yard parts) is heaps cheaper than a standalone system.

Re: SD to MAF Conversion

Responded to apost on this topic a week or so ago..I can list lots of problems, VSS feeds speedo directly in '93 but goes to PCM in '94 then to speedo. VSS signal is completely different between '93 and '94-'94. The '93 dash gauges (tac, speedometer) won't work w/'94 PCM signals. '93 EGR,TPS,air, knock sensor harness connections and operation all different between '93 and '94-'95. All problems can be solved , but it's not plug and play...

Re: SD to MAF Conversion

Its looking more and more easier just to go standalone I guess. Guess you have to pay to play.
