Post reverse lockout

i just had a friend reprogram my car, and now my reverse lockout is not working and i can put the car towards reverse. my cags was disabled, and i still have the 'skip shift eliminator' plugged in. could this cause it? not sure how much difference the new program worked, but once it is done raining, i will take it for a hard spin!
