Replacement LT4

I was thinking about swapping in a new factory LT4 crate motor that's still available from several GM parts warehouses. Can the stock computer and wire harness from my '97 Z28 still be used to run the LT4? I know that I would probably need to have the PCM retuned, but would everything else be plug and play otherwise? Thanks.

Everything should fit fine. You will want to replace the LT1 knock module with the LT4 knock module.

What cam do they use in the crate motor? If its the stock LT4 cam, you won't even need a tune. It's not much different than the stock LT1 cam. If its the LT4 HOT cam, then you would be wise to get a tune.
