I only have experience using the Vetronix GM Tech II scanner (typical dealership scanner).

I don't have $3000+ for one of these. And, there is dozens of systems advertised online, from hardware to software...

So, any recommendations? I definitely want diagnostic functions and the ability to command operations (like fan on/off, IAC open/close, clear DTC, etc.)
